Larry, Ocean City News is part of a series I am working on from old 1940-1950 photographs of my parents, Larry and Marie. I call the collection, “Larry & Marie Vintage Modern Series,” because I am restoring vintage photos and using modern technology to digitally integrate them into composite works of art.
The original hotographs were taken in Ocean City, Maryland in the 1950’s. Growing up I would go to the attic and find the hundreds of his photographs. I was told my Dad would develop the images and my Mom would do the hand coloring overnight so the photos would be ready in the morning.
Larry, Ocean City News is on display at the Charleston City Gallery. from May 24 -June 7, 2024 as part of the 2024 Piccolo Spoleto Festival.
